CHAPTER 338 An Act to amend and reenact § 30-34.10:2 of the Code of Virginia, relating to electronic access to the Code of Virginia and the Virginia Administrative Code. [S 244] Approved March 22, 1996

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 30-34.10:2 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 30-34.10:2. Access to Code of Virginia and Virginia Administrative Code.

The text of the Code of Virginia and the Virginia Administrative Code shall be a part of the legislative electronic information system and the Internet subject to such conditions and restrictions as may be established by the Virginia Code Commission in accordance with its responsibilities for publishing and maintaining the Codes as set forth in § 9-77.7. However, access to this text shall be limited to agencies of the Commonwealth and its political subdivisions. Copyright interests of the Code publisher, which include case annotations, cross-reference notes, editor's notes, collateral reference notes and effect of amendment notes, shall not be violated.
