JOINT CONFERENCE COMMITTEE REPORT

A. We, the conferees, appointed by the respective bodies to consider and report upon the disagreeing vote on House Bill No. 14, report as follows:

B. We recommend that the Senate Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute be accepted with the following amendment to resolve the matter(s) under disagreement.

1. Page 2, Senate substitute, after line 20,

insert

2. That, notwithstanding any other provision of law, the authority for the construction or renovation of a particular project granted under the provisions of this act shall expire on January 1, 1997, unless a design-build or construction management contract is entered into by the public body on or before January 1, 1997.
