SUMMARY:
Study; taxation of equipment of motor carriers. Establishes a joint subcommittee to study the ad valorem taxation of trucks and other equipment of motor carriers. Currently, the equipment is subject either to local tangible personal property tax or, if it is owned by a certificated motor vehicle carrier, the rolling stock tax administered by the State Corporation Commission.
