SJ 276 Board for Contractors; tradesman certification.

SUMMARY:

Study; tradesman certification program. Requests the Board for Contractors to include a provision in its regulations governing tradesman certification stating that in localities that did not participate in the tradesman program prior to July 1, 1995, a letter from the local building official verifying the applicant's ten years of discipline-free experience and the applicant's possession of a Class A license shall be deemed to fulfill the examination requirement for certification in such non-participating localities as of July 1, 1995. The Board may grant waivers to other qualified applicants on such conditions as it may deem appropriate.
