SUMMARY:
Child support. Provides that parents (or other responsible persons) of a child placed in foster care must pay child support to the local department of social services or other public agency. The obligation may be created by court order, final decree of divorce ordering support or administrative order. The bill requires notice to parents that support will be considered at the preliminary removal hearing.
