SUMMARY:
Number of appointed deputies. Allows the sheriff of a locality to recommend to the Compensation Board the number of law-enforcement positions to be fixed. The bill also provides for a minimum number of law-enforcement positions for counties without a police force, and for service of process and court security in those counties. The bill includes a no-loss provision.
