SUMMARY:
Capital murder. Adds two new offenses to the definition of capital murder.
The willful, deliberate and premeditated killing of any person in the commission of an abduction with the intent to extort money or pecuniary benefit or with the intent to defile, regardless of the age of the victim is added. Currently, such an offense constitutes capital murder only if the victim is a child under the age of 12.
Also, the willful, deliberate and premeditated murder of any person in the commission of, or subsequent to, object sexual penetration or attempted object sexual penetration is included in the definition of capital murder.
