SUMMARY:

Mechanics' liens. Makes existing requirements for disclosure of possible mechanics' liens in sales contracts and for disclosure of availability of owner's title insurance applicable only to the sale of one- or two-family dwelling units. Currently, such disclosure relates to the sale of “residential property” which includes sales of residential lots or other residential properties to persons who may not be purchasing the property for their own residential use.
