SB 929 Unpaid local real estate taxes.

SUMMARY:

Proration of lien for unpaid taxes. Authorizes the commissioner of the revenue to require an appraisal of a parcel of land sold prior to releasing the tax lien on the parcel, if the parcel is part of a large tract on which taxes are unpaid. The appraisal will be used in prorating the taxes due between the parcels when the appraised value exceeds the sales price.
