SUMMARY:
Emergency vehicles; use of sirens and lights. Exempts authorized emergency vehicles from the requirement of using sirens or flashing lights when the vehicle is being used in the performance of public services under emergency conditions to (i) obtain evidence of a speeding violation, (ii) respond to a suspected crime in progress when use of sirens or lights could reasonably result in the destruction of evidence or the escape of a suspect, or (iii) survey another vehicle or its occupants who are suspected of involvement in a crime.
