SB 900 Licensure of adult care residences.

SUMMARY:
Board of Housing and Community Development. Requires the Board, in formulating the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code, to adopt regulations that establish provisions under which an adult care residence of I-1 occupancy may be determined equivalent to I-2 occupancy for adult care licensure. The bill also requires that buildings licensed for independently mobile residents, semimobile residents or nonambulatory residents meet the requirements of the Building Code.
