SUMMARY:

Health maintenance organizations; basic health services. Authorizes health maintenance organizations (HMOs) to offer to certain Medicaid recipients basic health services that vary from the basic health services generally required to be provided by licensed HMOs. The variance is authorized in conjunction with contracts between licensed HMOs and the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) to enroll Medicaid recipients in the Commonwealth's voluntary capitated program known as Options.
