SUMMARY:
Inspection of correctional facilities housing juveniles. Provides that the State Board of Corrections will inspect and approve facilities designed for the detention of adults but utilized to house certain juvenile offenders under specific circumstances. The Department of Youth and Family Services will continue to inspect local correctional facilities which house juveniles.
This bill is recommended by JLARC.
