SUMMARY:
Immunity for poison control centers. Provides immunity from civil liability for poison control centers and their employees as well as entities operating poison control centers, acting in good faith and without gross negligence or willful misconduct, in advising individuals via telephone or other means of communication regarding the ingestion or application of substances.
The poison control centers must be established by the State Board of Health as part of a new statewide poison control system and meet national standards. The statewide system is established under separate legislation.
