SB 741 Conversion from federal savings institution to state bank.

SUMMARY:

Conversion from federal savings institution to state bank. Permits a conversion from a federal savings institution to a state bank to take place in one step. Under current law, a federal savings institution must convert first to a state association and then, separately, to a state bank. The bill also permits a one-step conversion from a state bank to a federal savings institution to satisfy a federal requirement of reciprocity.
