SB 738 Remote access clerk's fee.

SUMMARY:

Remote access; clerk's fee. Provides that the charges for remote access to court records be established by the local governmental agency which provides the computer support and may be based on connect time or on the number of inquiries. These fees will be used for maintenance, enhancement and future replacement of the system. The bill also provides for a clerk's fee of up to $25 instead of the current fee based on the actual cost of providing service and limits the current cap on the charges to $25, rather than the greater of $75 or five cents per inquiry.
