SUMMARY:
Charter; Chesterfield County. Requires that a vacancy on the board of supervisors must be filled by an interim appointment within 60 days to serve until filled by an elected member as provided for by general law; currently, the board can make an interim appointment for the remainder of the term. Additional amendments provide that the real estate assessor be appointed by the county administrator; that the county administrator be a member of the committee which selects the chief of police and that the terms of all school board appointees shall expire on December 31,1995, as the county shifts to elected school boards beginning January 1, 1996.
