SUMMARY:
Sales tax exemption; nonprofit civic and community service exemptions. Grants a sales and use tax exemption from July 1,1995, through June 30, 1998, on tangible personal property sold by a § 501 (c) (3) organization which sells food packages, through host organizations, at reduced rates to people who agree to do community service. Organizations eligible for the exemption would include SHARE (Self Help And Resource Exchange) Virginia. Incorporated in SB 704.
