SUMMARY:
Damaging certain local government buildings and facilities; penalties. Relocates the criminal aspects of § 15.1-871 to Title 18.2 and includes counties in addition to municipalities by authorizing local governments to make unlawful by ordinance the willful and malicious damage to or defacement of any public building, facility or personal property. Violating any such ordinance is a Class 1 misdemeanor. This is part of the recodification of Title 15.1.
