SUMMARY:
Sales and use tax exemption; Mercy Medical Airlift. Grants a sales and use tax exemption to an organization exempt from taxation under § 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code which is organized to provide charitable, long-distance, advanced life-support, air ambulance service for low-income medical patients in the Commonwealth. The bill also grants such organizations exemptions from the sales and use tax on aircraft sold in Virginia and from the motor fuel tax and special fuels tax on aviation fuel.
