SB 625 Concealed weapons permits.

SUMMARY:

Concealed weapons permits. Exempts retired state police from the requirement of obtaining a permit prior to lawfully carrying a concealed weapon if the trooper was retired after 15 years of service, the Superintendent has been consulted and favorably reviewed the person's need to carry a concealed weapon and the trooper carries with him written proof of such consultation and favorable review. A trooper who was retired for cause would not be entitled to this exemption.
