SUMMARY:

Insurance; fraudulent statements to insurers; penalty. Punishes the making of a material false or deceptive statement to insurers to procure payment or a policy as grand larceny if the value of the benefit procured is greater than $200 and as a Class 1 misdemeanor if less than $200. An attempted violation, irrespective of the amount involved, is punishable as a Class 2 misdemeanor.
