1995 SESSION
SB 127 Child day programs.
Introduced by: Frank W. Nolen | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Child day programs. Provides that the State Board of Social Services may grant a licensure exemption to a child day center operated by a parks and recreation program of a local governing body. The request for exemption must come from the local governing body. The State Board of Social Services may grant such an exemption after holding public hearings if it determines that the program will not unduly compete with privately operated child day centers in the locality and there is a need for additional child day centers in the locality. Even if exempt, such centers must comply with applicable laws and regulations governing food service activities, health and sanitation, water supply, building codes and fire safety and a criminal record check must be performed on employees.
