Introduced by: R. Edward Houck | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Freedom of Information Act. Provides that information disclosed from the records of completed investigations by the Auditor of Public Accounts, the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission, and the State Internal Auditor with respect to an investigation initiated through the State Employee Fraud, Waste and Abuse Hotline shall include, but is not limited to, the agency involved, the identity of the person who is the subject of the complaint, the nature of the complaint, and the actions taken to resolve the complaint. However, the bill provides that in the event an investigation does not lead to corrective action, the identity of the person who is the subject of the complaint may be released only with the consent of that person. The bill retains current Code provisions that prohibit disclosure of information from the records of such completed investigations in a form that reveals the identity of complainants, persons supplying information, or other individuals involved in the investigation.
