SUMMARY:
Corporal punishment and teacher immunity for certain actions. Clarifies the parameters of corporal punishment by amending the language excluding physical pain or discomfort caused by participation in sports, physical education, and extracurricular activity to include the physical pain or discomfort caused by allowed actions to maintain order and prevent violence. This measure also provides immunity to school personnel for acts or omissions related to any incidental, minor or reasonable physical contact or other actions or the use of reasonable and necessary force while acting in compliance with this law.
