SUMMARY:
Offer of settlement. Prescribes procedures for a party to an action for money damages to mail or deliver an offer to settle to any opposing party at any time 120 days after the notice of motion for judgment was served but at least 28 days before trial or, if it is a counter offer, 21 days before trial. If the offer is not accepted and a verdict is returned which is more favorable to the offeror than the rejected offer, the offeree must pay costs, excluding attorney's fees. The bill includes a specific definition of costs.
