SUMMARY:
Interest on lawyers' trust accounts. Provides that financial institutions are not required to pay interest or dividends on pooled accounts maintained by lawyers. The bill further provides that if a financial institution does accept such pooled interest-bearing accounts, it is not required to remit the interest or dividends to any person or entity other than the lawyer or law firm establishing such account or have any restrictions placed on the account's terms and conditions by entities other than the lawyer or firm establishing the account.
