SUMMARY:

Study; Virginia Geographic Information Network (VGIN). Establishes a joint subcommittee to examine the need for establishing a process and the appropriate organizational structure to build and maintain the Virginia Geographic Information Network. The study shall include (i) a market analysis and financial feasibility study, (ii) examination of opportunities for investment and financing, (iii) developing regulations for the use, access, and dissemination of network information, and (iv) examination of copyright and Freedom of Information Act requirements.
