SUMMARY:

Study; real property tax burden and school finance reform. Requests the Commission on Equity in Public Education to examine how Virginia could reduce (i) Virginia localities' reliance on the real property tax and (ii) the disparity in elementary/secondary school funding. The Commission is specifically requested to examine Michigan's public school finance reform.
