HJ 115 Study; homeowner equity insurance program.
Introduced by: James M. Scott | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Homeowner equity insurance program. Requests the Virginia Housing Study Commission to study the impact of a homeowner equity insurance program on the location and preservation of affordable housing developments. The equity insurance program is designed to protect the homeowner from a loss of property value caused by changes in the character of the neighborhood but not from a loss caused by changes to the actual house. Many homeowners contend that affordable housing developments in their neighborhoods have depressed the value of their homes.
