Introduced by: L. Karen Darner | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Braille instruction for visually impaired children. Requires that Braille instruction be included in the Individualized Education Plan of visually impaired children, if appropriate. The presumption will be that proficiency in Braille reading and writing is necessary for the proficiency of the child's educational achievement. Braille may be used in conjunction with other methods and need not be used exclusively. This measure was carried over by the House Education Committee.
