SUMMARY:
Voter initiatives in certain counties. Allows the qualified voters of any county which has adopted the county executive form of government (Fairfax County) to petition the circuit court to order a special election on the adoption, amendment, or repeal of an ordinance. The petition, and subsequent election, shall conform with the requirements of general law. However, no special election may be held on any administrative or executive matter (including personnel matters), tax or appropriation matter, or zoning issue affecting particular parcels of land.
