SUMMARY:
Toxic substances information. Requires the owner or operator of a commercial establishment that manufactures or uses toxic substances to conduct an audit within one year of the date on which his permit was issued, and no later than July 1, 1996, to ensure that the establishment is in compliance with toxic-substance, health, and environmental laws and regulations. The bill requires that a report of the audit be filed with the Toxic Substances Advisory Board and the Department of Environmental Quality, indicating the plan and persons responsible for conducting the audit, findings of the audit, instances of noncompliance, and a description of the corrective action or remediation recommended to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
