SUMMARY:

Federal Mandates Act. Creates the implementation of the Federal Mandates Act to evaluate the effect of implementing federal mandates on the Commonwealth and declares that Virginia state government has the responsibility and authority to establish policy in and for Virginia pertaining to programs mandated by the federal government. The bill requires the Governor to review such federal mandates and report to the General Assembly.
