SUMMARY:
Pledge of Allegiance. Provides that local school boards shall require students enrolled in the public schools of the school division to recite daily the pledge of allegiance to the American flag at the beginning of the school day. Local school boards may not require students who conscientiously object to reciting the pledge of allegiance to do so. The Board of Education is required to promulgate regulations for the implementation of this requirement to be effective on July 1, 1995.
