SUMMARY:
Disposition of dead bodies and how expenses paid. Revises the responsibilities for disposition of inmates' bodies. If not accepted by the Commissioner of Health for scientific purposes and not claimed by another, the prisoner's body will be disposed of at the expense of the Department of Corrections. If the body is claimed and the claimant cannot pay for the disposition, the county or city in which the claimant resides will be responsible for the costs of disposition.
