Introduced by: John S. Reid | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Professions and occupations; practice of optometry. Expands the definition of the practice of optometry to include the use of diagnostic pharmaceutical agents and changes the two-tier licensing procedure to reflect the current national examination which includes testing of all aspects of optometric practice. Those persons practicing optometry in the state prior to June 30, 1996, may continue to practice but may not administer diagnostic pharmaceutical agents without additional examination. Currently, testing for general optometric practice and use of pharmaceutical agents are conducted separately.
