HB 2332 Personal property taxes; proration in Winchester City.

SUMMARY:

Personal property taxes. Authorizes the City of Winchester to collect the personal property tax on property which loses situs in the city or is sold, on the last day of the month following such event. For property that is neither removed from the city nor transferred, the tax payment date will be the last day of the twelfth month after the date the property acquires situs in the city. Currently, all personal property taxes are due in the twelfth month after the date the property acquires situs in the city. This is idenical to SB 661.
