HB 2306 Temporary registration certificate for boat owners.

Introduced by: Allen W. Dudley | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Temporary registration certificate. Authorizes the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries to issue a temporary registration certificate (TRC) to boat owners. The TRC would enable a boat owner, who does not have ready access to the walk-in services offered by the Department in Richmond, to operate his boat for 30 days while waiting for a permanent title and registration to be processed. A boat owner who has allowed his registration to lapse or who has just purchased a boat and wants to use it immediately would be able, with minimal identification and proof of ownership, to obtain a TRC from an authorized agent for a fee of $10. The TRC could not be used for transferring ownership of a boat.
