1995 SESSION
HB 2305 Prisoners; medical care.
Introduced by: Allen W. Dudley | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Prisoners; medical care. Requires the health services program established by the Department of Corrections to provide appropriate means by which prisoners receiving nonemergency medical services may pay fees based upon a portion of the cost of the services. No inmate, however, may be denied care solely because of inability to pay. This is similar to the 1994 legislation which allows local correctional facilities to implement similar plans under the guidance of the Department.
This bill is identical to SB 1031.
