SUMMARY:
Bingo and raffles; suspension for criminal activity. Authorizes any law-enforcement officer to suspend immediately the conduct of a bingo game or raffle by an organization upon reasonable belief that criminal activity is occurring. The bill provides that notice shall be provided to the organization and a hearing thereon shall be scheduled within 10 days of the suspension. No bingo games or raffles can be conducted by the organization until the suspension is lifted by the local permitting authority or a court of competent jurisdiction upon appeal.
