SUMMARY:
Duties of treasurers. Deletes language requiring the Department of Taxation to prescribe forms of tax tickets to be used by treasurers. The bill also requires treasurers to make out a list of uncollected balances of previously billed taxes amounting to less than five dollars each and provides that any tax or levy discharged in bankruptcy or otherwise rendered legally uncollectible shall not be considered delinquent on and after the date of discharge. In addition, the treasurer shall not include such discharged or uncollectible amount in any list of uncollectible taxes and shall have no further duty to collect such amount.
