SUMMARY:
Bifurcated trial. Slightly expands degree of admissible evidence in the sentencing phase of a bifurcated trial by allowing the Commonwealth to introduce aggravating factors related to punishment. The bill also allows the judge to fix punishment if the jury cannot agree upon a sentence.
