SUMMARY:

Number of circuit and district court judges. Adds one additional general district court judge in the fifth district (Southampton, Isle of Wight, etc.); one juvenile court judge in each of the first (Chesapeake), second (Virginia Beach) and fifteenth districts (Caroline, Hanover, etc.); and one additional circuit court judge in the eighth (Hampton) and in the twenty-first (Martinsville) circuits.

The bill is recommended by the Committee on District Courts and the Judicial Council.
