SUMMARY:

Temporary licensure of certain foreign graduates for the purpose of advanced training. Authorizes the Board of Medicine to issue licenses to physicians licensed in foreign countries for six months while the physicians are attending advanced training in an institute for post-graduate health science operated collaboratively by a health care system having residency programs approved by an accreditation agency approved by the Board and a public institution of higher education. The temporary license will only allow the holder to practice medicine in the hospitals and outpatient clinics of the collaborating health care system while receiving advanced training. The Board of Medicine will promulgate regulations for this licensure.
