SUMMARY:

Banking and finance; register of financial institution names. Requires the Virginia State Corporation Commission's Bureau of Financial Institutions to establish and maintain a register of the names of financial institutions doing business in the Commonwealth. The register will contain the names of such institutions together with name changes resulting from merger, consolidation or other reorganization. It will be indexed to permit prompt identification of the names of preceding, succeeding or affiliated entities, if any, associated with a financial institution.
