SUMMARY:
Credits for taxes paid to other states. Allows Virginia residents to receive a credit on the taxpayer's return for any franchise tax, unincorporated business tax, or other tax on earned or business income paid to another state. Currently, taxpayers are entitled to the credit only for taxes characterized as income taxes by the other state.
