SUMMARY:

Human services. Creates standard definitions of “early intervention” and “prevention” for the purposes of the Comprehensive Services Act, Council on Coordinating Prevention, and child protective services statutes. This bill is a recommendation of the Commission on Youth's Early Intervention Task Force which was directed by SJR 130 (1994) to identify barriers to community early intervention services and to develop strategies to respond to the barriers by 1996.
