SUMMARY:

Judicial Nominations Commission. Creates an eleven-member Judicial Nominations Commission within the judicial branch, composed of judges, lawyers and citizens appointed by the Chief Justice, the Governor and the General Assembly. The Commission will make recommendations to the General Assembly to assist in making its determinations on judicial elections. The Commission is to submit to the General Assembly a confidential report and the names of persons it has found to be highly recommended or recommended for each vacancy on any court.

The Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court will provide staff for the Commission.
