SUMMARY:
Advisory Board on Teacher Education and Licensure. Requires the Board of Education to appoint members to the Advisory Board on Teacher Education and Licensure from among nominations made by the Virginia Education Association, the Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals, the Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals, the Virginia Association of School Superintendents, the Virginia School Boards Association, and other specified organizations. The public may nominate individuals for the citizen position and teacher positions; however, the Board may not appoint more than one teacher nominated by the public. Nominating organizations are to submit three names for each position.
